Techniq Swim Academy (formerly Techniq Group Swimming Services) Effective date: July 20, 2026

Techniq Swim Academy ("we," "us," or "our") provides swim instruction and coaching services in the Ann Arbor area, with pool locations in Ann Arbor, Saline, and Whitmore Lake, and remote coaching services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly. When you contact us, book a lesson, create an account, sign up for our email list, or fill out a form — on our website or through a lead form on Facebook or Instagram — we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about your swimmer (such as age range, experience level, goals, or preferred pool location).

Payment information. Payments are processed by our booking and payment providers. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own systems.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the performance of our advertising. This may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring pages. Our website platform and analytics and advertising partners (such as Squarespace, Google, and Meta) collect this information on our behalf.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and follow up on lesson requests, schedule and manage lessons and programs, process payments, send service emails (confirmations, schedule changes, recaps), send marketing emails you've signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email), measure and improve our website and advertising, and comply with legal obligations.

Facebook and Instagram Lead Forms

If you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta shares the information you entered (such as your name, email, phone number, and your answers to our questions) with us so we can follow up with you. Meta's handling of your information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy. We use lead form information only to contact you about our programs and do not sell it.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — such as our website platform, booking and payment systems, email service, and advertising platforms — and only as needed to provide those services; and when required by law.

Children's Information

Our services are frequently purchased by parents and guardians for swimmers under 18. Our website, forms, and advertising are directed at adults. We collect information about minor swimmers (such as age range and skill level) only from a parent or guardian, and only as needed to place the swimmer in the right program.

Data Retention

We keep contact and lesson records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences directly with Meta and Google.
